PLANT : Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a semi-tropical plant which looks more like a cactus and a member of lily family which usually grows in the African continent. Its green shaped thick leaves contain the water supply for the plant so that the plant can survive for long periods in case of drought. This plant also has resistance to survive in dry and warm climates and in very harsh conditions.
Aloe vera is used in various pharmaceutical products and most widely used as a medicine. One can see a mucilaginous substance which involves water, fibers and the other useful ingredients that is helpful in retaining the water in the leaf when the green skin of the leaf is removed. All the special qualities are given to the gel which contains all these ingredients and became popular since many centuries.
Now, this plant is widely used in the creams, lotions, gels, shampoos, conditioners, soaps, liquids, capsules and various other treatments also.

The machine : GPS device

The Global Position System (GPS) is a space based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather, anywhere on or near the Earth, where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. it is maintained by the United States govemment and is freely accesible by anyone with GPS receiver.
The GPS program provides critical capabilities to military, civil and commercial users around the world. In addition, GPS is tin allthe backbone for modernizing the global air traffic system.
The GPS project was developed in 1973 to overcome the limitations of previous navigation system, intergrating ideas from several predecessors, including a number of classified engineering design studies from the 1960s. GPS was created and realized by the US Department of Defense and was originally run with 24 satellites. it became fully operational in 1994.
Advances in technology and new demands on the existing system have now led to efforts to modernize the GPS system and implement next generation of GPS III satellites and next generation operational control system.

The GPS is being used in science to provide data that has never been available before in the quantity and degree of accuracy tha the GPS makes possible. Scientists are using the GPS to measure the movement of the arctic ice sheets, the Earth's tectonic plates and volcanic activity.
GPS receivers are becoming consumer products. In addition to their outdoor use, receivers can be used in cars to relate the driver's location with traffic and weather information.
